Yesterday's McCormack Racing Sunday E.T. Series was the
first of the 12 races that will happen this year. There were many
close races and Krysti & Justin in the tower got a little
carried away giving out a handful of prizes!
In Masta Performance Pro Sam Manuele's .034 light gave him the edge over Roger Proffitt's .065. They both ran .01 slower than their dial, but Sam Manuele's better light earned him the win.
In Insurance Man Super Pro, James Brown reacted a little too quickly and went -.026 red, but Jerry Gier's .009 light would have been hard to beat anyways.
In the Super Pro Motorcycle class, Greg Mallett took off first with a .039 reaction time, but Herb Baker couldn't wait to chase him down and went -.009 red giving the win to Mallett.
In Fleenor Racing Transmissions Sportsman class, Louis Jeffery and Marlon Howes gave us something to watch when their lights were .028 and .033. But, Louis Jeffery ran a bit closer to his dial and the slight edge on the tree gave him the win over Marlon who also only ran .01 off his dial.
Krysti & Justin gave away ice cream to the first 15 people who came to the tower after they made the announcement and it did not last long as racers, their families, and spectators all came hoping to get a free ice cream on such a beautiful day! Dirty Dave Yurcak won a free buyback into the Masta Performance Pro class for being the next person to the tower who lost 1st round because of a .00 red light. Todd Nuding in Insurance Man Super Pro won $100 for being the "next .000 light." Then, they gave away a free lunch to Warren Smith who won by a random drawing of tech cards. And finally, they gave out free entries to next week's points race to someone from each of the five classes.
