Aeroquip Heads Up Competitor: Bob Adel

Bob Adel is coming to the August Aeroquip Heads Up race looking to set some personal best numbers in the Diamond Pistons Outlaw 10.5 class. His current best is a 4.25 at 175 MPH. The 1993 “Under Pressure” Twin Turbo Mustang is definitely under some pressure with Bob Adel looking for a new personal best.

Aeroquip Heads Up Competitor: Brandon Wakeling

Brandon Wakeling is one of the Mechanical Heating & Cooling Run What Ya Brung competitors. He ran his personal best ET in July when the 1941 Willys Pro Mod went 4.20 in the 1/8 mile. He said he is feeling unsure and overwhelmed coming into the August event, but we’re sure he’s just being hard on himself because the car always puts on a great show.

Aeroquip Heads Up Competitor: Mike Barran

Two time VP Racing Drag Radial Champion and current points leader Mike Barran will of course be here with his 1985 Chevy Camaro. This car and driver always perform. We’re never disappointed with the show this duo puts on. Currently Barran’s best pass is a 4.31 at 182 MPH. Mike has 3300 pounds of American made muscle built for one reason and one reason only…. to WIN! The purpose built race car succeeded in June, but went out a little earlier in July. Can it fulfill its lifelong goal and finish at the top this month??

Aeroquip Heads Up Competitor: Matt Reese

Matt Reese will be bringing his 1988 Ford Mustang in the VP Racing Drag Radial class. With a current personal best of 4.74 at 155 MPH he’s already going fast, but coming into this August edition of our Aeroquip Heads Up Series Reese is feeling positive that he will improve upon his current best. We’re definitely excited to see what he can do.

Aeroquip Heads Up Competitor: Jeff Harrington

Jeff Harrington is another racer looking to set a new personal record on Friday night in the Diamond Pistons Outlaw 10.5 class. With all these record seeking racers, the competition is going to be fierce. The heat and humidity might make it a little tough during the day, but when the sun goes down all bets are off. The Harrington crew is looking to take their personal best from a 4.02 at 197.88 MPH into the 3’s. Wow!

Aeroquip Heads Up Competitor: Dan Ostgen

A long time participant of the Liberty’s Gears All Motor class will be out on Friday night as usual. Dan Ostgen driving the 1969 Camaro that has gone 7.99 and 170.6 MPH. They’re feeling confident coming into this mid-season race. We don’t blame them for the confidence as they’ve been closing the gap between themselves and the top of the field during the 2018 season.

Aeroquip Heads Up Competitor: Greg Seher

The 1979 Camaro of Chris Schultetus that competes in the VP Racing Drag Radial class with Greg Seher behind the wheel has previously run 4.68 and 154 MPH. The team says they feel really confident that they have what it takes to better their personal best this month. On top of that, they’re really feeling like they’ve got something for the boosted cars. There’s only one way to find out: come watch them go head to head with them.
