At this time, we feel it is in the best interest of our racers and fans to cancel tonight’s Aeroquip Heads Up event. The low temperatures were something that was already on our radar, but with the added threat of rain increasing as the day goes on into tonight, us here at Milan Dragway along with Jason Rueckert do not believe that racing tonight is safe or feasible. We are so bummed to lose the last Heads Up event of the season, but look forward to seeing you all back for this series on May 3, 2019.
She strikes again...Due to weather, we are rained out today Sunday, October 7th. Thanks for ruining the whole weekend Mother Nature!
In the interest of keeping all of our bikers safe, we have made the decision to cancel today, Saturday, October 6th’s Bike Night presented by Scott Stewart Roofing event. We are bummed that Mother Nature has messed with another Bike Night, but look forward to planning next year’s in the coming months and let you all know when the events will be next year!
Today, Friday, October 5th’s, Aeroquip Heads Up Race has been postponed until next Friday, October 12th. This decision was based upon the fact that rain seems unavoidable today. When discussing the rain along with other factors like the temperature and dew point with Kurt Johnson of Total Venue Concepts, we feel that racing today would not be reasonable with any amount of rain. To keep racers safe and give fans the best show possible, we have decided to move the event to next Friday when we hope to give the program and put on the show we had planned for today.
For next week’s schedule, we will be adding on another Rocky’s Rental on Thursday, October 11th followed by Aeroquip Heads Up on Friday, October 12th.
We look forward to having Kurt Johnson here with us again to help the racers go fast and the spectators see a top notch show.
Sadly, today does not look like a good day for racing. Rain and cold are not our friends in the drag racing world. Today, Sunday, September 30th’s Fleet Doctor Fall Mini Series Race #3 is cancelled.
Bob Adel is coming to the August Aeroquip Heads Up race looking to set some personal best numbers in the Diamond Pistons Outlaw 10.5 class. His current best is a 4.25 at 175 MPH. The 1993 “Under Pressure” Twin Turbo Mustang is definitely under some pressure with Bob Adel looking for a new personal best.
Brandon Wakeling is one of the Mechanical Heating & Cooling Run What Ya Brung competitors. He ran his personal best ET in July when the 1941 Willys Pro Mod went 4.20 in the 1/8 mile. He said he is feeling unsure and overwhelmed coming into the August event, but we’re sure he’s just being hard on himself because the car always puts on a great show.
