ALCOHOL POLICY:
ABSOLUTELY NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL ALLOWED ON PROPERTY (pursuant to Michigan State Law)
For your convenience, our concessions stands sell a variety of food, drinks and snacks. Drinks are also available in the Clubhouse (near the starting line), The Pro Shop (behind the pit side bleachers), and Dirty Harry’s Performance Shop (near the pits).
- Absolutely no alcoholic beverages are allowed in any restricted area of the facility.
- This includes the staging lanes, starting line, track and return road.
- No glass bottles are permitted anywhere on the Milan Dragway property.
- Coolers are not permitted in the bleachers.
- Any driver determined to be intoxicated or found with an alcoholic beverage in their possession while still in competition will be disqualified immediately.
- Any person found to be operating any vehicle while in possession of alcohol may be disqualified and/or ejected from the premises.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
- All classes will be called to the lanes by the track announcer.
- Radio Station – Dial 91.1 on your FM radio to tune in to the track P.A. System.
- WHATSAPP –Please download the WhatsApp app on your phone….it’s free! This is very important as we will be calling classes, posting qualifying, posting ladders and relaying updates and information during the race.
- Just scan the QR code on the page to join the Heads Up Racing group for announcements during the event.
BREAKAGE POLICY:
- If you break before the burnout box, a track credit for your tech card will be issued at the ticket booth on the same day.
- Credit will be the value of the driver entry only.
- To claim the break credit at a future event, you MUST present and surrender the ticket that you were issued by the ticket booth.
- This policy does not apply for mechanical problems or disqualifications. No credit will be given for car breakage once a car has attempted a burnout in the water box.
BURNOUTS:
- Burnouts may only be performed in the water box at the starting line.
- Cars with slicks must pull through the water box.
- Cars with street tires may go around the water box.
BUY BACKS:
- Buy backs are purchased at the ticket booth
CHILDREN/MINORS:
Your children’s safety is important to us. Parents are expected to keep children under their supervision.
- ALL Minor drivers waivers will require both parent’s / legal guardian’s signatures in order to compete.
- ALL minors who provided a completed waiver with both parent signatures will be maintained at the track as an annual waiver for the race season in which it was submitted. (HIGHLY recommended)
- Children on the playground equipment (east and west side of the track) must always have adult supervision.
- The pit area is busy with motorized traffic and the driver’s ability to see is often restricted. Please keep children close to you and your pit area.
- Parents who let minor children roam the pit area unattended may be asked to leave.
- No children under the age of 14 are allowed in Restricted Areas.

- A valid driver’s license and proof of insurance is required to operate anything motorized.
CONDUCT OF DRIVERS & PIT CREW:
- Restricted Areas
- Due to insurance regulations, access to certain areas of the facility are restricted.
- Restricted areas include: the starting line, behind and inside the burn-out box, staging lanes, the track itself and the return road.
- All drivers and crew are required to sign a waiver in the presence of a track official.
- At that time all drivers, or crew members will be issued a wristband that must be put on the left wrist (Tower side) in the presence of that track official.
- No one under the age of 14 is permitted in any restricted area by the insurance company. This includes in front of the tower and trackside buildings on golf carts.
- Absolutely no one will be allowed in restricted areas without proper credentials.
- Drivers may designate up to four crew members for credentials upon successful completion of Tech.
PAYOUTS:
- Payouts are paid out at the ticket booth and may be in the form of a check
- Racers will be required to show ID and sign to receive their payout.
- It is recommended that racers collect their payout as soon as possible upon completion.
- Payouts must be collected within 31 days of race. If you need to make additional arrangements, please contact us prior to the 31 day deadline at pam@milandragway.com or call 734.439.7368 x302
- Winnings will be available the day of the race at the ticket booth up to 30 minutes after the final race has been completed.
PIT & AUXILIARY VEHICLES (GOLF CARTS, SCOOTERS, BIKES, ETC.):
Auxiliary vehicles must obey the same rules as pit vehicles. The following vehicles are not allowed as auxiliary/spectator vehicles (does not apply to current push/pit vehicles):
- NOT ALLOWED: dirt bikes, 4 wheelers, UTVs/side by sides/razors and mini bikes.
- Only individuals ages sixteen (16) years and older with a valid state driver license are permitted to operate any motorized vehicle on the property (including golf carts) and must be covered by adequate liability insurance applicable to the operation of the pit/aux vehicle. All operators shall provide proof of such insurance, a driver’s license, and any other applicable credentials upon request of a Dragway or event official.
- Speed limit is 10 mph for cars, bikes, quads, carts, etc. traveling in the pit area and all surrounding non-race areas of the property. THIS WILL BE ENFORCED.
- All vehicles MUST be driven in a safe and responsible manner.
- Repeat offenders may result in a permanent ban from the facility.
- Burnouts anywhere but the starting line will not be tolerated.
- Vehicles MUST yield to race vehicles at all times.
- Racers may be held accountable for the conduct of their crew, per the NHRA Rulebook.
- Failure to comply with these rules may result in immediate disqualification or dismissal from the property.
- All vehicles must be operated in compliance with the vehicle manufacturers operating instructions and/or industry standards, including those regarding riding/driving position and number of passengers.
- Unsafe or improper operation of the pit vehicles and/or any violation of regulations and instructions may, at the sole discretion of the Dragway, result in penalties against the owner and/or operators, including, but not limited to immediate impoundment of the pit vehicle.
- The hours of operation for pit vehicles will be from the time gates open until the last race is completed.
RACING FUEL and PARTS:
During events, Milan Dragway also sells a variety of racing fuels, parts, helmets, safety equipment, etc. (including methanol & nitrous). We do our best to ensure sufficient inventory availability. RAIN-OUT POLICY (RACE EVENT):

IF THERE ARE NO POSTINGS, IT IS BECAUSE WE ARE STILL RACING!
NO CASH REFUNDS
- You must have your receipt to receive credit for future event.
- If weather or other occurrence halts racing ANY time before the start of time trials, racers will receive 100% credit of entry fee. Credit is valid for the remainder of the season.
- If weather or other occurrence halts racing ANY time between the start of time trials and the completion of the first time trial session for your class, racers will receive 75% credit of entry fee and there will be no payout. Credit is valid for the remainder of the season.
- If weather or other occurrence halts racing ANY time between the start of the second time trial and the completion of time trials for your class, racers will receive 50% credit of entry fee and there will be no payout. Credit is valid for the remainder of the season.
- If weather or other occurrence halts racing after the first round of elimination, points will be awardedto that point in the Payout will be divided among the remaining racers and no entry fee credit will be issued.
- If weather or other occurrence halts racing during a round of your class’s eliminations, applicable payouts and entry fee credits will be issued as if that class’s round had not
- At specialty events, if over 50% of the day’s activities are completed, the event will be considered completed and no credit will be given.
RAIN-OUT POLICY (TEST EVENT):
NO CASH REFUNDS
- You must have your receipt to receive credit for future event.
- If weather or other occurrence halts racing after a racer/crew has not had 2 runs a 50% credit of entry fee. Credit is valid for the remainder of the season
- If a racer has had 2 time runs, the event would be determined complete for that racer/crew and no credit will be given will be refunded.
SAFETY:
- It is the responsibility of the participant, not NHRA or any track representative, to ensure that all safety equipment is approved and is correctly installed, worn, maintained, and used.
- All racers racing 13.99 or faster MUST wear a helmet.
- Basic requirements for all racers- must have full length pants, short or long sleeve shirt, and closed toe shoes.

SHIPPING PARTS:
Racers occasionally need to have parts shipped to our track. Please include your name in the shipping address, so we know to whom the package belongs. It is recommended that you notify us in advance (admin@milandragway.com). The shipping address is 10860 Plank Road, Milan, MI 48160. The track is not responsible for lost or stolen packages.
STAGING BEFORE GATES OPEN:
Please stage across the street until the gates are scheduled to open. Please use caution and ensure that your rig can cross the street completely and safely. Please no stopping, standing or blocking the street or entrance to the property.
TECH INSPECTION:
- All vehicles must pass tech inspection before making any runs prior to the event. A vehicle may be re-examined by tech or track officials at any time, for any reason.
- Tech inspection site is located beyond the ticket booth near Dirty Harry’s Performance Shop.
- Please have your tech card fully completed prior to inspection.
- Please report to the Tech inspection site with all safety equipment, clothing (leathers for motorcycles) and accessories required to race.
- Be prepared to show your driver’s license (per NHRA rules) and NHRA license when applicable.
- After passing inspection you may enter the staging lanes when open for your class.
WAIVERS:
Minor Waivers can be located on our website and in registration area near Tech. Annual minor waivers can be completed and kept on file for the season.
- All drivers, crew, media and those authorized in Restricted Areas must sign a waiver in the presence of a track official.
WASTE OIL:
A collection container is provided next to Dirty Harry’s. Waste oil must be dumped in this bin. Contaminated oil (contamination is any non-pure race oil, i.e., brake cleaner, carburetor cleaner, anti-freeze, etc.) must be taken with you when you leave.
WIFI:
Unfortunately we do not offer WIFI at our facility.
